Thank you for your prayers and encouragement! God has heard your prayers and in the last few months, the youth ministry has started to develop more.
Relationship Development
In my last newsletter, one of my prayer requests was to develop and strengthen the relationships that I have with non-Christian youth in Craiova. Together with Hope Church leaders, we have started to meet every 2 weeks with the youth regularly, to build relationships with them. We are using social events, such as game and movie nights.
I would like to tell you about my experience with a youth who I have been investing in for a while. In the beginning of October, I bought my friend a Bible encouraging him to read it, to understand that God has a special plan for his life. He told me that he never read the Bible but his response was positive, sending me pictures of the verses that had read. Through I could see how God is working in his life. He has also accepted my invitation to come to our church meetings.
Soccer Event & Black Sea English Camp
In the last couple months, I was also involved in events that had the purpose of creating new relationships. As a follow-up to the FIFA event that took place in August, I (together with YWAM) organized a soccer (European football) event, which gathered more than 60 teenage boys. Once again, I was able to see some of the boys that participated in the FIFA event, and was also able to meet some new boys.
Another event that took place was in September. This event was an English camp that took place at the Black Sea. We had the camp at the Black Sea, because these youth had never been to the Black Sea before. Nine new youth participated in the camp, in which most of them still have a relationship with us. Some have also started to come regularly to the youth social events and even to our Sunday church services.
As you can see, God is working here in Craiova. Even during the trials that the global church is experiencing, I can see God’s involvement. If you would like to be a part of what God is doing in Craiova through me and my ministry, there are many ways to be involved:
- Prayer (take a few minutes each day to pray for me and the non-Christian youth in Craiova)
- Encouragement (being in ministry, there is a need for encouragement)
- Monthly Financial Support (20 people at $25/month. I already have 2)
- Advocacy – be an ambassador for me and my ministry (share my newsletters with your friends)
