One thing God has reminded me of lately, has been that I am not alone in the mission that I do. He blessed me with other believers to come with me, hence the title of this update. There are many people who pray for the mission in Craiova, some of them even travel here to do a mission with us. I will not list all the people who came alongside me, but I am very grateful for each of you and that God put you in my life.
The past months have been full of different activities, but the main things that I will mention are: street evangelism, social activities and working with young people.
Street evangelism
The first major activity last month was street evangelism. Together with a team from America and at different times, other teams from Romania, we were able to talk to people about God and pray for them. I was pleasantly surprised to see some people in tears as we prayed for them. It is clear that God was at work in their lives at that very moment, and I am honored to be able to convey this important message to people who donât know God in a personal way. What we communicated to them was that Christ died for them, they are loved and accepted as they are if they come to Him. After we prayed for them, we offered them the New Testament or a brochure and our contact details. I can say that the daily street evangelism activity has borne fruit and I have seen new people in the church with the desire to know God.Â
Social activitiesÂ
One of Jesus’ commandments is, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”Some poorer people in the Oltenia region, where I am a missionary, understand love when they are offered something. Driven by this command, one of the activities I spent my time with was helping people in need. One of the locations Iâve been was the village of Almajel, located 60km away from Craiova. I can’t put into words the feeling I had when I got there, but I could feel a spiritual pressure. People seemed hopeless, and I could see the sadness and pressure in their soul expressed even on their faces. It was very clear that people needed God and someone to express the love they longed for. Together with some missionaries from Craiova, we tried to take care of their material needs but also to express the love of God. In the end, we prayed for them and encouraged them to continue to seek God and guide them to the local church in their village.
Youth ministry
One of the major activities I do in Craiova is to make God known among young people. There are a lot of young people who seem to have no purpose in life and donât realize that the most important thing you can do is live for God. Together with missionaries of Hope Church Craiova, we have regular meetings and events for young people in which I am involved. In addition to all this, I form individual relationships with young people and they observe through my way of life what it means to live for God.  An experience from last month through an event for young people I managed to make relationships with some young Muslims, students in our city. They even asked for an interview with me for a project at university. I pray that God will work in their lives, and I continue to use every chance I have to present the Gospel. From all the conversations I have had so far, I realized that most young people need two things: a purpose for which to live and quality relationships. My vision is to develop relationships that they can trust and help them discover God. Â
