God is wonderful in the way He works and what I find extraordinary is that we can see His work in a certain situation in our lives after it has been accomplished, instead, He sees it before it is accomplished. That is why it is important to trust God, to trust His plan even when we don’t understand, and act as He guides us.
This month I took the bee families to harvest in Barbatesti, somewhere in Valcea County. We put the bees in the garden of a woman we got along with beforehand. While working with my wife on the bees, a donkey came down from the hill.. In the first phase, the bees had no problems with the donkey, but in the middle of the day when it started to be very hot, the donkey came right next to the fence where our bees were placed and hundreds of bees started to sting him. We tried to get him to leave and we did everything we could to save the donkey. We didn’t knew the owner of the donkey but we knew another person from the village. The man called the owner of the donkey and finally he came and took the donkey. The veterinarian came, treated him, I paid for the treatment and it seemed that the donkey was recovering.
We went home, and the next morning, the man we knew in the village told me that the donkey had died. I started making phone calls and wondering if I was legally guilty or not. I found out that legally, I did exactly as required by law regarding the placement of bees, so I was not guilty of what happend. The law was on my side, but as I prayed to see what God wanted me to do in this situation, I understood that He was asking me to be a part of this man’s trouble by paying his donkey.
So, together with my wife we went there, to the owner of the donkey. He was very upset, I shook hands with him and I expressed my regret for what happened. I explained to him that we had respected everything that was required for the placement of bees, that we are not responsable for what happend, that he could take any action against me but he would lose, but God teaches us to be different.
We gave him the money for the donkey, the man’s face brightened, and so we could be a living witness to Christ, glorified to be His Name.
It cost us a donkey for the scent of Christ to be spread in that village, because the next day there was already talks in the village about how the donkey problem was solved.
We were glad to see this wonderful work of God and who knows what God prepared the ground for in that place. God has His plan. We don’t know it, but we trust Him. We have learned that sometimes we must be willing to pay, even unjustly, for the Christ name to spread among people. Some sow, others reap, but God is the One who makes it grow!
Thank you to those who are with us and are part of the ministry here.
Please continue to pray for:
- The people from Barbatesti so that the Lord may change their lives as well let the people of Comani begin to seek the face of the Lord
- Wisdom in all the decisions we make
- Divine protection of our family
Be blessed!
