Time has been passing so quickly that you almost don’t even realize when it has passed! Because we are grateful to the Lord for you and appreciate the many ways you support us, we want to bring you news from the ministry so that, together with us, you can rejoice in how the Lord is at work!

Almost every year, after the holiday season has passed – a season in which church planters are very busy with many activities and projects in a short amount of time – the months of January and even February are much more routine, but this is still very important in the eyes of God. This routine means Sunday morning church services, weekly meetings with women, children and youth as well as serving the community in various ways (helping provide food, wood, clothes, etc.)

However, this February we had a special project. With God’s help, we were able to get new chairs for the church. This project involved a lot of fundraising (an amount we have not fully covered) plus the transportation and assembling of the new chairs.

In March we were blessed to host a team from Texas, a team who has been visiting us almost every year since 2012. The goal of all teams that come to the mission field, to a church plant, is to take the message of the Gospel to as many people as possible, but at the same time to be an encouragement to our brothers and sisters in faith. The following are some of the ways the team from Texas helped and encouraged last month:

Here we celebrate Mother’s Day on March 8, and so we usually take the opportunity to celebrate mothers while also sharing the Gospel among women. This year we organized an event, in which around 40 women participated. We were pleasantly surprised to have new women who had never been in such a context before.

We also organized an event in which we offered people free reading glasses, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and prayer for personal needs. It was a great way to serve the community.

Through the “Good Seed” project we are able to offer people in the community seeds to plant in the ground. Together with these seeds we also give them a year-long devotional with biblical teachings. Together with the team we managed to give 650 packages, one for each house in our area. Praise be to the Lord!

We also made home visits where we either evangelized or encouraged the people we visited. Every time people were happy to welcome us into their homes. This is something that years ago seemed impossible, and for that we give glory to God for the way He has worked and is working!
