We believe we are called to work as a family. We are all involved in serving the Lord. My wife, Cornelia, is a real support in the ministry in Corabia. Cornelia’s passion is to help children spiritually as well as educationally.
In the seven years we have been in Corabia, she has put much effort into working with children. At the moment, the children consider her like a mother.
- The need
Some of the families we work with have many children, and it’s difficult for them to send their children to school. So the problem is an education problem, but its roots are in material shortage. When my wife asks about why these children do not go to school, the answer is the same: “We have no money for school supplies and clothes.
When these children do not go to school, they receive their education from those with whom they spend their time on the street. When I asked some of them what they want to be when they are older, they answered either doctors or teachers. The lack of school education breaks any dream.
- The solution
Seeing this situation, my wife felt God leading her to help. This begins each September helping these families. The aid consists of clothes for school and school supplies. By God’s help this year ten children were helped.
Prayerfully ten children will have the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of the future by going to school. Going to school teaches them how to read, which means ten people who can read the Bible. Our prayer for them is to turn to God and become leaders in the church we are establishing in Corabia.
