Can you use technology to impact people?

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.

– 1 Corinthians 9:22 

Having in mind Paul’s example of becoming all things to all youth, so that they may hear about Christ and be saved. This is what I’ve been trying to do this month with the youth here in Craiova.

I, together with TPM (YWAM in English), tried to find what are the youth interests and organized a FIFA event which attracted around 60 young men. Our desire was to meet new youth from Craiova and to be a light for them through our actions. In this way they could see something different then the rest of the world. This difference is the new life we have in Christ! At the end of the event some who attended interpreted this difference in terms of how friendly we were to them, liking our personalities and the fact everything was free.

Others were able to make new friendships and expressed the desire to participate in future events like this one. 

Regarding their feedback, I can say that we accomplished our goal for them to see a difference in us then the rest of the world. I desire to create a community for them where socilization, positivity and good influences are key factors.

The youth ministry we have at the Hope Church plant in Craiova is starting to grow!

My purpose for the rest of this year is to follow up with the friends I made at the youth event. Also to meet new youth and develop relationships with them as well. I will help do this, together with the Church plant team, through different events like the FIFA event.
