In recent months, even though I have been involved in many different activities, I have focused primarily on working with children. I believe our children are the key to spreading the Gospel more effectively in Romania. The children and their attitudes of curiosity and wonder at this world keep me positive and motivate me to continue sharing how our Lord has blessed us beyond measure with His Son, Jesus!
Recently, I had the opportunity to teach the children a series of Easter materials that included stories, songs and crafts.
At one of the children’s programs, I challenged them to a few questions about the resurrection of Jesus. One of the questions I asked them was if they believed in the resurrection of Jesus. Almost everyone said they believed, except one child. He said he didn’t believe much about Jesus because no one had showed him in the Bible where Jesus was raised from the dead. I was a little bit surprised because he wanted to see directly from the Bible about it. I opened the Bible, showed him the scriptures and he believed! This experience demonstrated to me how important it is for us, not only to share the Gospel, but to make sure they understand it completely.
Also during this period, together with the World Race team, we got involved in working with Roma children. We offered them food and clothes. We want to follow the teachings of Jesus; not only to fulfill the spiritual needs, but also the physical. We have discovered that, as we come along side them and help with their physical needs, our relationship with them grows closer and they are more willing to discuss their spiritual needs!
Thank you very much for your support both in prayer and financially. As you all know, I am also preparing for my wedding! I would appreciate your prayers for Joseph and me as we move toward this memorable day in our lives. You are also in my prayers!
