December was a month full of events with both gifts and programs for children. I can say that a lot of children have heard the gospel about the birth of Jesus and why he came into our world.
I would like to share an experience of how God worked. At one of the Roma communities where a missionary (Laura) and I get involved, to be honest, we were a little afraid to go with shoeboxes to give to the children, because, a week before we gave the presents, we talked to a mother in that community to make a list with families of children and a man started threatening to throw stones at us and break our car if we went to them. At that moment, Laura and I were a little scared, and we started praying for this man who wanted to hurt us, but we also shared some special prayers with our friends for guidance and wisdom but also for this man that God may work in peace in the spirit of this man. And the next week, when we were in this community again, we went with the confidence that God is with us and that nothing would happen to us, but again we were a little afraid that this man would not do us any harm, something bad. To our surprise, this man was calm and quiet and helped us organize things well. God be glorified and blessed for this, we really did not expect such a thing and how well things went at this event with shoeboxes. We blessed 28 families and their children with shoeboxes.
