Colossians 3:23-24
[23]Whatever you do, do it readily, as to the Lord and not to men;
[24]Being certain that the Lord will give you the reward of the heritage: for you are the servants of the Lord Christ.
May peace be with you, our loved ones. We hope that you are doing well in the middle of this pandemic and we pray that we all be protected and stay near the Lord so that we can be strengthened amid all troubles.
We give you a big hug, we, the Șerbănescu family and the church in Dăneasa!
Thank you for supporting us, thank you for your prayers and your love. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly! We are grateful to our Lord and we thank Him for giving us health, for protecting us and holding us in His hand.
During this time, we praise God that we can serve Him and reach people with the Gospel despite this pandemic.
We presented ourselves to God and as a team we met every week to organize our time during the week. We make preparations for the women’s meeting, the youth’s meeting and the children’s meeting and for various events. We praise the Lord for giving us strength and victory!
Thank you for your prayers and we admit that we feel them.
Every time we encounter difficulties and even in the victories we have on the mission field, we feel that the Lord strengthens us and encourages us to stay in His will!
We had an event when we together with the children and the youth distributed calendars for the people in the village.
We were encouraged to see their desire to serve the Lord!
We also plan to go through the village next week, with God’s help and if the weather is good, with an evangelism event where we will use a devotional called “The Good Seed” and three bags of plant seeds and thus be able to meet people and tell them about Christ!
We had a Mother’s Day event on the 8th of March when we gathered to praise our Lord for giving each of us a mother, for giving us families, for making us wives. We learned from our Lord to be full of love and give up any sin in our lives.
The women who attended the event were encouraged and we pray that God may grant them the true repentance.
We also meet regularly during this pandemic with our youth every Saturday and we study the Bible, memorize verses and praise our Lord.
We also have a socializing time when we create bonds with them and spend some time with them playing games, football etc.
We would like to get them to other villages too so that they can spend time with other youth groups and thus grow in faith by sharing experiences with the Lord and the way He has worked in our lives.
From our youth group, a teenager named Valentina decides that she wants to follow Jesus and give up the world, wanting to be perseverant and faithful to God.
During our meetings, we want them to feel free to ask questions when they have doubts and we have a time when we talk about faith and perseverance in our daily life. During the Bible study we have them ask questions and we answer them and we have seen that they are open to do this but we also pray that they could understand what true repentance is and how serious is the Scripture.
We gather with the unbelieving women every Thursday and we want to create new bonds and talk about Christ’s sacrifice and what it means and how the women in the Bible found their hope! They feel encouraged and happy that they can hear the Word and we spend our time praying, praising the Lord and strengthening ourselves.
We have a new Afterschool project where we help students learn and we practice more for their homework. We hope that we could gather even more children and thus starting reading Bible stories, playing games and thus have a new beginning for our Sunday school.
We had an event with the children where they made cards for unbelieving women in our village.
They offered them with all their heart and they felt the joy of serving the Lord.
All of this, which we know is Christ’s work, can only be done through faith and at His time. Please, continue praying for us as a family and for the ministry out here in Dăneasa. May our heavenly Father bless you!
