Last summer was full of all kinds of activities: We had prayer on the streets of the city, evangelism from person to person, we helped with the resources we had, families who have children and have a more precarious financial situation, and we, as well as team, we continued to invest in children and young people from a more disadvantaged community. However, in the following lines, I will focus only on working with children and teenagers.
Our family
September, for us as family, was a month of changings. It was a great joy when Damaris, was born 20 years ago, this year her life, but also ours, reached another stage. Being in the second year of university in Cluj, she decided to live there. Emotions are on our side but also in her heart. Pray for Damaris that the Lord will protect her spiritually and grow in her relationship with God. May the Lord also strengthen her spiritually and protect her physically.
The story of God’s image
- Day Camp!
This year The day camp with children and teenagers was an experience that made us more dependent on God. Everything was planned, our family as a team with experience in organizing camps with children, shared their responsibilities, and everyone prepared to serve as well as possible.
The first day, at 10 o’clock, the camp was going to star.. The team was ready, the children were invited, but they were missing, it seems that they were left to wait. Time passed and there seemed to be a shadow of disappointment. after 40 minutes the first children appear. We, were little disappointed,but we started with a song, then with the story from the book of Ruth, and for the games we said that we will do the gaimes next day, because we are few.
In the following days, the number increased so that the feelings of the first day passed.
The children and teenagers who come are from a community that is marginalized by both Romanians and Roma. The lessons learned from the book of Ruth were that their condition can improve if they return to God, they are diligent and honest.
At the end of the week, there were prizes for the winning team and a cake that sweetened us all.
- Weekly meetings!
Every Saturday from 10 a.m., we continue to invest in the Bible education of the children in the community we serve. Together we pray, sing, and enjoy Bible stories. We gave the title of this project “The story of the image of God” because, through the stories told, we want to invest to the children that the Bible is a unitary book, a single story that has several chapters. We also want them to learn the history that began with the creation and depravity of mankind, but will end gloriously for all who return to God.
Opportunities to get involved in prayer and more
Our main goal is to sanctify God’s name by planting churches in the city of Corabia and the surrounding villages.
Pray for Corabia:
- Doina and Nina are two women who have been coming to our worship meetings for many years. Pray that they will want to be baptized.
- Other missionaries need to join the work in the city.
Pray for the village, Orlea
- We have a friendship with Delcea„ family, the gospel was proclaimed many times in their homes. Pray for their salvation, and the beginning of a church planting work in their village.
- We need a missionary. Ask Lord to bring out workers here.
Pray for the village, Tia Mare
- The Nițu„ family, they have been faithful for many years, their wish, but also ours, is to see a church planted there as well.
- In Tia Mare we have a fairly large network of relationships. Pray that the Fulguleț family will come to the Lord and receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ
- We need a missionary there. Ask the Lord to bring out workers.
Pray for Bastravăț
- The Fronie„ family reads the Bible, they even come to worship meetings when they can. Ask to know the Lord, both Costel, the father, and Elisha, the son.
