Blessings our dear brothers and sisters!
A few months ago we started a catechesis course in our church and some came with the desire to be baptised, as is my daughter, Priscilla and others participated with the desire to know more things from the Word of God, which we were very happy. The beginning of August brought a lot of joy in our house but also in God’s family. It was a celebration in the church but also in the heaven. A soul, my daughter Priscilla, publicly confessed in front of the seen but also in front of the unseen, that Jesus Christ forgave her sins and that He is the Lord of her life. In her testimony, Priscilla said that being born into a family of christians, she grew up knowing about Jesus, she knew His life, His work but it was not something personal and at a children’s meeting, the teacher launched the challenge that whoever wants Jesus to came into his life, to pray but to be sincere in his heart. Then she understood that it was time for her to put her life in His hands, even though she was a child. God worked on her heart and she understood that she needed Him,
In time, I could see a lot of changes in her life, at one point she asked for baptism but at that time we considered as parents that it is good for her to wait. We saw over time that her desire to be baptized intensified. We never put pressure on her to be baptized. We let God do this work in her heart and He did. It was very emotional for me, personally, as a father, to baptize her but the emotion was dominated by joy. Brothers and sisters from the Church took part in the event, others friends invited by Priscilla, and other people who came by curiosity but what matters is the Word of God was preached, they heard the Good News, now we pray for the seed to bear fruit in their hearts. We pray for Priscilla, especially now at the beginning of the new school year, may God help her to be a light in her class, for her colleague, for the teachers, may God give her wisdom in any decision she makes and discernment.
At the same time, we rejoiced in the repentance of our sister Simona, who, a few years ago, made the decision to follow the Lord but later in certain circumstances, she chosed to leave the Church and live with a boy she married and now has 3 children. In the last 3 years, she started to come to the church again, regularly, she started talking to Veronica, my wife, about the regret she has in his heart, that she lived in a way that didn’t honor God and that she was not a testimony for the unbelievers.
We were very happy to see how at one Church program, she got up, went in front and repented for the sinful way of living she had all this time and expressed her desire to be reinstated in the church.
Thank you for your support in prayer and we appreciate your involvement, for which the Lord will reward you.
Prayer Requests:
- For Priscila and Simona
- For the other people who came to the Church, that God work in their lives
- Insulation of the church before winter – we still have half of the church building uninsulated, which matters a lot during the winter.
